Ruth, Sounds like a very enlightening visit to the WWI exhibit. Wonder when there will be programs on WWI on US TV? Seems they should be showing now. The details you learned were fascinating, especially regarding the US's reasons for entering the war! And England was hit so hard! Hard to imagine a country recovering from such atrocities! My brothers came from a long line of ancestors who have served in our military. Two of my most treasured possessions are a photo of my maternal Grandfather astride a horse, taken while serving in the infantry in France, the other a smallish framed French flag in a frame. It's hand embroidered, quite lovely!

Now that I can get on and post, I read your entry to your brother in law, Ken, and he says he'd love to see this exhibit! Wish we could come while you are there!
