I just wrote to you, and via your blog, you've already responded! Sounds like there continue to be truly interesting experiences and fun despite the fact that you're feeling "punk." Hope it doesn't get too cold too fast! Bloomsbury sounded and looked great. Next best thing would have to be being there to SEE it all! I know what you're talking about when you imply the need for solitude in which to feel the place that you're in to speak to you! The previous residents had to leave some of their energy there, and it seems if it were quiet enough, long enough - you'd almost be able to feel and here them! You took a "physical photograph" when you were there - that's what you'll connect with in memories! Jack the Ripper, huh? Interesting to see it in it's new incarnation. Too scary to see it in it's former guise! The new areas of town you explored sound fun, Hope you do get to go back to shop! Sounds like the dining experiences are getting better, too!
