A black cat has come in the patio door and made his/herself at home on the sofa! Did I mention it's chilly today? Some people were wearing coats AND scarves. A strong wind. Makes me dresd winter. I think people here keep their homes much cooler in winter than we do at home. The plumber said he and his family bring out the blankets in the house when it turns colder.

Loving your blog! You sound very busy, happy as well as tired from all the walking- think of all those calories falling off; What an interesting war exhibit - read a novel of whose name escapes me but had amazing if horrid battlefield scenes depicting that war and I remember seeing all the dead in trenches ( In Flanders Fields , the poppies grow, along the crosses , row by row- Mama recited that poem a lot) I took some friends ( old DAS peeps) to the Carlos and did my thing and think they like it ; then got taken out on a pontoon on Lake Berkely- fun day. Looking forward to you blog after you go to the Victoria and Albert! and the Tate- maybe an off day would work. How is a calico like a brindle cat or are they the same? and do you have rain boots?
